● The installation location of self-priming pump should be closed to water surface as soon as possible, ensure that no air is sucked in when the water level drops.
● When installing the suction piping, the water inlet cross-pipe should be slightly tilted downward in the direction of the incoming water or installed horizontally, and the water inlet pipe should not be higher than the water inlet of the pump at any point, otherwise the air in the pipe can not be eliminated.
● To prevent the packing culvert leakage. Packing culvert should be appropriate, if too loose, should tighten the packing gland; packing damage, failure, should be replaced in a timely manner; packing covers the water seal pipe clogging and heat, will cause packing covers the leakage of air, should clean the water seal pipe.
● Flange connected to the water inlet pipe before installation, the 2 flanges in contact with the plane should be cleaned up, the middle plus 1 3 ~ 5mm thick rubber gasket, symmetry, several times gradually tighten the bolts.
● Self-priming pump bottom valve should have enough submerged depth, calculated from the valve plane submerged depth should be equal to the bottom valve outer diameter of 1.5 ~ 2 times, at least not less than 0.5 m. If the submerged is too shallow, it is easy to form a vortex, thus sucking in air, resulting in cavitation and damage to the impeller and pump casing. If you find that the water pump running into the water level drops quickly, you can put a few boards on the water surface to reduce the vortex and prevent air from entering the pump casing.
● Self-priming pump body is equipped with a bleeder screw plug, in order to facilitate the release of air, the same size of the thread can be used to replace the bleeder screw plug, bleed the water can be opened when the water.
● Self-priming pump suction port vacuum is limited, the vacuum is too large, easy to make the pump water vaporization, the self-priming pump work is not good. Therefore, each self-priming pump has its own large allowable suction range, generally between 3 ~ 8.5m, the installation should be controlled in this range.
