Sodium hydroxide pumps are widely used in the chemical industry. Caustic soda is also known as caustic soda and caustic soda. Its chemical name is sodium hydroxide. It is a white solid at room temperature, highly corrosive, easily soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline. It is a commonly used alkali. There are two types of commercially available caustic soda: solid and liquid: the solid is white, in the form of blocks, flakes, rods, and granules, and is brittle; pure liquid caustic soda is a non-transparent liquid.



Caustic soda is widely used in many industries such as chemical industry, printing and dyeing, paper-making, and environmental protection. It is divided into industrial grade and food grade (food additive sodium hydroxide). The main difference between the two is not the purity but the content of toxic substances such as lead and mercury. The industrial grade cannot be used in the food industry due to its high content of toxic substances.
 
Sodium hydroxide pumps have different functions in different stages of industrial liquid treatment.
1. It is called a sodium hydroxide self-priming delivery and lifting pump when transporting chemical liquids;
2. It is called a sodium hydroxide magnetic unloading and dosing pump when treating large-flow liquid medicines;
3. It is called a sodium hydroxide metering and dosing pump when treating small-flow liquid medicines;
4. It is called a sodium hydroxide delivery and circulation pump when treating liquid medicines in circulation.

 
 
Before choosing a 30% sodium hydroxide solution pump, the following points must be clear:
1. The 30% sodium hydroxide solution is irritating, alkaline, and corrosive. Direct discharge will pollute the water body. It reacts with acid to neutralize and is highly corrosive, so the selected pump material must be alkali-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
 
2. The 30% sodium hydroxide solution pumps used in different processes are different. For example, in chemical liquid transportation, it is called a sodium hydroxide self-priming delivery and lifting pump; in large-flow liquid treatment, it is called a sodium hydroxide magnetic pump; in small-flow liquid treatment, it is called a sodium hydroxide metering and dosing pump; in liquid circulation treatment, it is called a sodium hydroxide delivery and circulation pump.
 
3. Acid and alkali resistant self-priming pumps, leak-free magnetic pumps, stainless steel centrifugal pumps (stainless steel materials can be used when the sodium hydroxide solution concentration is within 50%), and PVC metering pumps can all be used to transport 30% sodium hydroxide solution.
